What to do while you wait
Keep clear of the affected area, especially near broken glass, unstable debris or a ceiling that's taken on water — it can be heavier and less stable than it looks. Don't go onto the roof yourself to inspect or cover damage; that's what we're for.
If water is coming through a light fitting or near anything electrical, switch off the circuit at the consumer unit if you can do so safely.
Storm call-outs are prioritised ahead of routine bookings. We aim to get a temporary fix in place first, then return to scope and quote the full repair once the roof is safe to assess properly.
